You may not gift or substitute your entry.

COMPULSORY GEAR

Due to the variable and potentially dangerous weather experienced in the Drakensberg, the compulsory kit list is taken very seriously by the organisers. Compulsory kit will be checked and photographed at registration (not at the race start) as well as at the finish.  A missing item will result in a time penalty and more than one missing item will result in disqualification. Please make sure you thoroughly check the compulsory kit lists.

Please read through the Terms and Conditions thoroughly. 

  • Where is Ultra-trail Drakensberg?
    The race is in the Drakensberg, with the Race Village at Glencairn Farm. All five distances run across different pockets of the Drakensberg and lead back to the Race Village, the home of the race.
  • Is there an age limit to enter?
    Yes! To race the UTD Miler, one needs to be 21. To race UTD100 and GCU65, one needs to be 18 and to race SDR36 and DRJ25 one needs to be 16.
  • Are there crewed/supporter points?
    Yes! Please consult the Technical Information on each page for the Aid Stations that allow crew. You can also consult the Support Page here.
  • Can I have the GPX?
    The GPX files are released in the Race Week. This is to protect you from having outdated maps on your device in the case that there any changes made to the course. All the technical information, containing timing points and Aid Station locations, can be found on each Race Page. There is also an interactive 3D map that can be used.
  • Can I book my shuttle to the Race Start?
    You will be able to book your spot on the Race Shuttles just ahead of Race Week. An announcement with a form to secure your spot on the shuttle will be sent to the email used when you booked your entry. *Please make sure you have not unsubscribed to our newsletters to avoid missing critical info!
  • What kind of food with the Aid Stations have?
    You can expect a range of whole foods, such as bananas and oranges, banana bread, some Aid Stations will have soup. All Water Points and Aid Stations will have plain water. Please bring your own cup and bottle as you will not be allowed to take any external or other bottles, cans, or cups from the Aid Station.
  • Does my entry come with a shirt?
    You receive a race tee with your entry, but this does not include the designed merchandise tee.
  • Where do I collect my merch order?
    We're so glad you are getting merchandise! You will collect your order from the Race Village when you register.
  • How can I buy merch?
    You can purchase merchandise on the same Quicket link as our entry platform. Select "Merchandise" on the tab and you will be taken to the options to buy your apparel and UTD gear!
